Roxanne´s Fine Cuisine Introduces Gourmet Raw Food Products in Northern California Stores

Acclaimed chef Roxanne Klein has just introduced her groundbreaking raw food cuisine to stores in Northern California through a new line of gourmet food products under the Roxanne´s Fine Cuisine label. Debuting in fine food stores the week of January 28, Roxanne´s Fine Cuisine offers 34 different products including prepared foods, dry goods and ice creams.

All the products were developed by Roxanne Klein and are made from raw and living foods, which are organic and use no dairy, eggs, gluten or refined sugars. Roxanne´s Fine Cuisine features such signature preparations as Pinwheel Sandwiches ($7.49), three types of Nutmilk Cheeze ($6.99), Sprouted Granolas ($9.99), Rox Kreme Ice Creams ($6.99), Snap Crackers ($7.99) and Triple Layer Chocolate Torte ($8.49).

Raw and living foods are fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts that are not heated above 118 degrees Fahrenheit to preserve their natural enzymes, vitamins and micronutrients. Klein draws on her professional training as a chef and extensive recipe development and testing to make foods that are notable for their exquisite flavors and textures.

Klein received international recognition for her Roxanne´s restaurant in Marin County, which she and her husband Michael Klein opened in 2002 featuring her innovative raw food preparations in a fine-dining setting. She co-authored the cookbook "Raw" with Charlie Trotter and was lauded by food critics around the country for her artistry and ability to create layers of flavor. Although her restaurant closed in 2004, Klein continued to develop new recipes and techniques with an eye on launching a line of raw and living food products.

In addition to using the freshest organic ingredients, Roxanne´s Fine Cuisine makes extensive use of recycled and environmentally friendly materials in its packaging and displays. Soy-based inks and partial post-consumer waste paper are used for labels, while containers are made from #1 recyclable PETE. In-store display cases are made with recycled banana leaf fiber and employ the most energy efficient cooling technology available.
